From P4 WEST (full article here): A start of series-production is getting closer for NEVS. The company has now ordered parts from hundreds of suppliers in order to build Saab-cars. Within weeks deals with the remaining suppliers will be completed according to Per Svantesson at NEVS.

- "We have placed orders with hundreds suppliers and will continue strongly over the coming weeks".

How are negotiations going with the suppliers?
- We're moving forward at a good phase. We have about 400 suppliers which will start up before the end of the year. Only a limited number remains where we need to sort out a number of remaining questions but other that everything looks very well.

The goal is finish all the deals within six to eight weeks and then start series-production in Trollhättan before the end of the year. It requires about 2000 components to build the 9-3 and these parts are shipped from about 400 suppliers.

The production restart will also generate a profit for the swedish suppliers. NEVS will use more Swedish suppliers than Saab did during the GM-Era according to Svantesson.

- I believe we will see an increased about of swedish suppliers to NEVS in the future.
- A goal is also to consolidiate our business and thus make more and better deals with fewer suppliers say Svantesson.
